This paper discusses Objectivity ThingSpan, a “graph analytics platform” built on top of Objectivity/DB, Objectivity’s object-oriented database. However, this is not the whole truth, because ThingSpan is ACID compliant and is therefore suitable for transaction processing as well as analytics. It might be better described as providing hybrid transactional/analytic processing (HTAP). As far as the database itself is concerned it is best to think of it as a property graph database though not all the aspects of a property graph have been implemented yet (they are planned). There are APIs for C++, Java, Python and C# as well as a JSON importer capability. ThingSpan is currently available on-premises and on AWS.
