Seeker DLP was founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2017, as a counterweight to the founder’s experience within the education sector, that existing tools for sensitive data discovery were either too expensive or were free/cheap but lacked adequate features and did not scale. Seeker DLP was established to provide the necessary functionality but at a reasonable price point (it charges per scanner rather than per seat). While the company may have started with a focus on education the company now markets its product across industries. The product runs on-premises and a free 30-day trial of the product is available.
