Rapid7 (Nasdaq: RPD) is a provider of security solutions and services, focusing primarily on extended risk and threat detection. Its headquarters are in Boston, MA, USA, and as of January 2025, Rapid7 had approximately 3,100 employees, in locations dispersed worldwide.

The company was founded on 2000 by a small group of computer scientists. Its first product was a vulnerability management solution, and it has also launched a penetration testing tool and a SIEM solution. In more recent years Rapid7 has acquired or developed incident detection and response, SOAR, threat intelligence, UBA, CAASM, and cloud security to its solutions portfolio, which capabilities can all be used via its MXDR service.
