We define the sensitive data lifecycle as starting with the discovery of sensitive data, continuing with its protection (which may involve encryption, tokenisation and/or both static and dynamic data masking), and ending with its retirement. Also relevant is the monitoring of sensitive data, and who is accessing it. In this paper, we consider each of the vendor’s offerings within each of these areas.
