Low-code and no-code development products aim to minimise or eliminate the amount of hand-written code needed during application development. Their methods vary, but in general they achieve this by facilitating reuse on a large scale, often by encapsulating blocks of coded functionality and allowing you to assemble them to suit the needs of your application. More often than not, the vast majority of this functionality will be pre-written as part of the product, with the remaining, custom functionality left to your developers. Moreover, many products in the space make the ‘assembly’ part of this process extremely easy and non-technical, allowing you to create applications without any experience as a software developer.
This report discusses the Low-Code and No-Code Development spaces and evaluates several leading low-code and no-code development products.
