Ancelus is an ACID compliant database with extreme performance characteristics that is developed and marketed by Time Compression Strategies Corporation (TCSC), previously known as Prevel Technology. It has been engineered to support future requirements of very large data volumes (exabytes) and is suitable for both OLTP and query and, indeed, hybrid environments. Benchmark performance results suggest that it is fast enough to support stream processing functions that are normally the domain of specialised products. It should be noted that while the product and company names may be unfamiliar to readers, what is now TCSC has a long and distinguished history in the development of different database technologies.
