Precisely was formed in 2019 when Syncsort acquired the Pitney Bowes Software & Data business. The combined companies offer data integration, data quality, location intelligence, and data enrichment products – supporting data integrity in general.
Its products are held behind five gateways: Integrate, Verify, Locate, Enrich and Engage; although old product names are incorporated with the new branding, for continuity (there is a list of old and new names here).
Precisely’s CEO is Josh Rogers, previously President of Syncsort. and its CTO is Tendü Yoğurtçu, previously General Manager of Big Data for Syncsort. Its top team has an impressive background with companies such as IBM, BMC, Cloudera, Risk Management Solutions (RMS) etc. It seems to come more from Syncsort than from Pitney Bowes.
The integrated company seems to have a new fire in its belly and markets a wide range of Data Integrity products – still including the iconic Syncsort. Its modernisation capabilities include over 100 Precisely APIs, exposing more than 220 datasets and covering more than 160 countries, delivering data as-a-service via APIs.
