Dating back to the 1980s, the roots of NAVEX were as an innovator offering hotline and helpline services to organisations to act as the means of engaging with organisations’ whistleblowers. In the early 2000s it continued its market innovation with a compliance-focused eLearning solution. In 2012, a number of companies were joined together to form NAVEX Global, broadening its offerings with training, advisory services, incident management, and management software for policies and procedures. Continued expansion subsequently included a new platform for third-party risk management (RiskRate), and the acquisition of an ethics and compliance solution provider. In H2 of 2019 NAVEX Global acquired another whistleblowing hotline service provider (UK-based Expolink Europe), plus Lockpath (a GRC and information security solution provider), and a whistleblowing solution and incident management software provider (Stockholm-based WhistleB). In 2020 the company rounded off its series of acquisitions by taking ownership of CSRware, an early player in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) solution market. The launch of NAVEX One was also announced, to combine its many solution capabilities around an integrated SaaS platform.
The company serves over 13,000 customers, including well-known companies such as Hitachi, Serco, Nielsen, Dell Technologies, and Navistar, and across a wide range of industries. It has over 1,400 employees, and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, as well as having offices in other US regions as well as in the UK and Sweden.
