Pegasystems releases HIPAA compliant SmartBPM
Pegasystems has announced the latest version of its SmartBPM Suite. This latest release marks a new standard for speeding BPM initiatives across lines of business and comes on the heels of the independent survey, released last month, that demonstrated productivity gains of five times or more for organizations using SmartBPM compared to traditional Java development approaches.
This latest version includes more than 40 significant new advances. New localization capabilities and encryption-based security help multi-national organizations succeed globally while rule-driven research, fine-grained versioning, automated testing and rapid deployment enhancements enable Pegasystems’ customers to capitalize on opportunities in real-time. Agile service oriented architecture (SOA), a browser-based user environment and many other features provide additional business benefits.
“Our customers include some of the world’s leading organizations that require the agility to not only meet today’s market challenges but to also take advantage of tomorrow’s opportunities,” said Alan Trefler, chairman and CEO, Pegasystems. “Only Pega provides enterprise-class BPM that enables customers to Build for Change, helping them drive productivity. Our objective is to provide our customers with unsurpassed technology that best helps them to meet their own management goals of increased growth, revenue or efficiency. This latest version of our software exemplifies this mission.”
The following capabilities are new with this version:
- Fast Localization—with a new wizard-based accelerator, global businesses can readily localize their SmartBPM application for different language locales—all without coding or language resource kits.
- Unit Test Manager—this optional feature permits easier and more frequent regression testing of SmartBPM applications. Business architects and solution designers can automatically collect and manage test case data to confirm the ongoing integrity of their application.
- Encryption-Based Security—helps mitigate identity theft and address privacy mandates such as HIPAA, USA Patriot Act Title III and similar requirements governing international finance. Pegasystems has added the capability to encrypt data at any point, at any level, supporting a range of preferred encryption algorithms—without compromising the speed or performance of the SmartBPM solution.
- Rule-Driven Research—allows developers to use declarative rules to determine the optimal and most economical means to retrieve data from external systems. Businesses benefit from more responsive applications, faster time to market for new solutions, and lower cost of ownership.
