Event Correlation and automation allows users to consider a ‘best of breed’ approach to building a single view of their IT infrastructure and its performance.
The growth of Cloud computing, Edge computing and the reliance on 3rd party wide area networks (WANs) has caused problems for IT organisations in getting end-to-end visibility across the whole of an IT estate that is being deployed in support of business services and applications.
However, IT operations and first level support staff are being deluged with alerts, many of which are false positives while others are low priority incidents. Getting effective event correlation and fast incident resolution from all this data requires automation and the use of Artificial Intelligence. This is the valuable heart of AIOps.
