Okta is a relatively young start up, although it has just received a third round of funding. It has been showing high levels of growth and has expanded considerably, although it currently only has one office in the US.

Okta’s primary focus is in acting as a conduit between enterprise applications and directories and cloud and mobile apps, although it also offers this service to external users, to provide SSO. Its products have been built from the ground up, rather than acquired, and it is developing good partnerships. However, it lacks integration with complementary technologies such as threat management or SIEM.
