Syniti, until recently known as BackOffice Associates, is a worldwide software company with a 23-year history, offices in over 25 countries, and headquarters in the greater Boston area. The company offers solutions for data migration (historically, its primary focus), data governance, data quality, metadata management, and more. In July 2020 Syniti acquired Virtyx Technologies, a start-up focused on end-to-end AI-powered automatic monitoring and analytics. Through leverage of this technology, Syniti is transitioning to a cloud-native (containers, serverless, elastic scaling and so on), agent-based architecture.

In addition to direct sales Syniti has a strong partner program including technology partners, systems integrators, and resellers. Most notably Syniti partners with Boomi for data integration and BigID for sensitive data discovery and management, while SAP is a significant reseller for the company.
