SureCloud was founded in London in 2006, initially as a provider of penetration test services. Its development of a system to track the pen test findings shifted its positioning towards clients’ compliance requirements, and it launched its initial GRC-focused offering in 2011. Within a few years it was the subject of market commentary and analyst assessment, and it subsequently gained its first private equity backing in 2021. This has enabled acceleration of its product development, and broadening of the scope of functionality it offers, which still continues at a significant pace.

The company’s HQ is in central London, and it has an office in Plano, Texas. Its customers are predominantly companies in the Financial Services & Legal, and Tech, Media & Telecoms sectors, as well as others operating in Retail, Manufacturing and additional markets. In all these sectors, customer names include prestigious and well-recognized brands. SureCloud states that most customers implement its solutions to address IT-related GRC requirements, and typically also adopt one or more of its additional products. Pre-built integration capabilities are incorporated throughout the SureCloud products, to connect with any other GRC solutions as well as security tools, IT management solutions, and other enterprise data/applications.
