Global Data Excellence is a Geneva-based company founded in 2007 by Dr Walid el Abed, marketing its data governance solution Data Excellence Management System since 2016. It is a relatively small company with a few dozen customers which has thus far focused mainly on research and development. The company has won a number of awards including the best Swiss AI innovation in 2021-2022 and has been recognized as one of the 20 most promising AI providers by CIOReview Magazine in 2021. It has also won the “Special Innovation Award” at the World Innovation Economics in Davos in 2020.
