Arnie Sticks it to the Users

So Gubernator Arnie is about to stick his moniker on a piece of legislation that forces makers of wireless internet equipment to include warning labels on their kit.

This story tells that from 1^st October 2007 Californian legislators have insisted that manufacturers make it bleeding obvious that a piece of kit can connect to the internet via a Wi-Fi connection.

One of the labels has to be so positioned that Joe User must peel it off to use the kit.

The problem is that what might be a good idea will inevitably become a standing joke like the famous coffee cup marked, “Caution: contents hot” as stickers are applied to wireless routers saying, “Caution: This Wi-Fi Wireless Router will connect wirelessly using Wi-Fi”.
