LogMeIn was founded in 2003. Its world headquarters is near Boston, Massachusetts; it has European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland; Asia Pacific headquarters in Sydney, Australia; and development centres in Budapest and Szeged, Hungary.
LogMeIn provides cloud-based apps and associated solutions for remote control, file sharing, systems management, data backup, business collaboration and on-demand customer support for any sort of connected devices (including PCs, servers, Macintosh computers, smartphones, etc.)
It claims that its solutions scale from individual users to large corporations and can be tried, purchased and deployed from any web browser with an Internet connection, by both technical and non-technical users. LogMeIn customers include large corporations, small to medium businesses, internal and outsourced IT service providers, mobile professionals and individual home PC users and technicians. Over 125 million devices worldwide have connected to a LogMeIn service.
LogMeIn has an interesting partnership with ARM over its New Development cloud plaform and Xively development kit for “Internet of Things” apps.
